In the early days of Rapid City, Dinosaur Park was known as Hangman's Hill - in honor of the quaint local custom practiced there in the glory days of the wild, wild west.

The dinosaur's were remarkably tolerant of the Homo sapiens:
At the end of the day, the dinosaurs headed back home...
